Drill holes SNRC10-02 (49m of 0.30% Cu) and SNRC10-03 (27m of 0.50% Cu) at Sicera Norte intercepted significant widths of enriched secondary copper mineralization at shallow depths under the leached capping. Drill holes SNRC10-05 (41m @ 0.30% Cu) and SNRC10-06 (68m @ 0.36% Cu) were located approximately 400m southeast of drill holes SNRC10-02 and SNRC10-03 and show that mineralization continues in that direction. The alteration zone, defined along a NW-SE trending structural corridor, has now been identified over a strike length of 1.2km and a width of at least 300m. Sicera Norte remains open in all directions , including at depth and the Company expects to conduct a systematic exploration and drilling program to determine the extent of copper mineralization. Sicera Norte and Sicera Sur are two out of five high priority exploration targets identified by AQM Copper's exploration team within the Zafranal project boundary. AQM Copper is focused on the rapid expansion and development of the Zafranal Project located in the resource rich district of the Southern Peru Porphyry Copper Belt. Bruce Turner, President and CEO states, "The two separate discoveries our exploration team have made at Sicera Norte and Sicera Sur demonstrate the potential to add substantial tonnage to the Zafranal district very quickly. Further defining these two discoveries this year will be high priority." AQM is the operator of a 50/50 JV with Teck Resources Limited through a sole purpose Peruvian company being formed for the Zafranal Project, as announced in its press release dated July 8, 2010. The Company has established a rigorous QA/QC program at Zafranal, which includes the insertion of blanks, duplicates and certified standards into the sample stream. Core is photographed on site and subsequently sawed in half, with one half sent for analysis and the other half stored for future reference and assay verification. RC chips are split twice on site using a riffle splitter, with 25% of the sample being sent to the laboratory for assay and the rest stored for future verification purposes. All Zafranal samples are shipped to ALS Chemex's sample preparation facility in the city of Arequipa, where they are crushed and pulverized. Prepared samples are shipped to ALS Chemex's certified laboratory in Lima where they are analysed for gold, copper and multi-element ICP. Dr. Tom Henricksen, consultant geologist of the Company and Chief Geologist for AQM Peru, the Company's Qualified Person for the purposes of NI 43-101, has approved the information contained in this news release.
