Members of the Kin Accredited Investor Network must be an active investor or have a keen interest in private equity. Members must be an “Accredited Investor” as defined by the British Columbia Securities Commission, and other applicable securities laws and regulations. Membership is extended to individuals who meet one of these criteria:


  • Either alone or with your spouse, you own more than $1,000,000 in cash and securities1;
  • Individual income (before taxes) is in excess of $200,000, or joint income (before taxes) with a spouse is in excess of $300,000, in each of the two most recent calendar years, and you have an reasonable expectation of reaching the same income level in the current calendar year; and
  • Either alone or with your spouse, you have net assets2 worth more than $5,000,000.

The SEC and the FINRA mandate that investors meet requirements for net worth or net income before being eligible to review certain types of investments. Those who meet these requirements are deemed to be Accredited Investors.

Many investment opportunities, including some IPOs, certain real estate and oil and gas investments and futures programs, are only available to Accredited Investors.
