On March 30, 2017, The First Responder Network Authority announced the selection of AT&T to build the FirstNet network, a nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to America’s first responders. The effort is a significant investment in the communications infrastructure that public safety desperately needs for day-to-day operations, disaster response and recovery, and securing large events.
Marc Seelenfreund, CEO of Siyata Mobile Inc. (TSX-V:SIM | OTC PINK:SIMFF) commented, “We want to educate our investor network on what the FirstNet network will bring to our first responders. FirstNet is a huge validation of the move away from Land Mobile Radio systems and embracing cellular based communications with Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (PoC) capabilities.”
