Toronto, ON – Siyata Mobile Inc. (TSX-V:SIM) (the “Company” or “Siyata”) is pleased to announce it has received a purchase order from the Edmonton RCMP K Division to replace the Motorola M800 fixed communication devices that are currently installed in their fleet with Siyata’s Truckfone connected vehicle device as their trusted communication platform in their emergency vehicles.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (“RCMP”) is the Canadian national police service and an agency of the Ministry of Public Safety Canada. The RCMP is unique in the world since it is a national, federal, provincial and municipal policing body.
“We are pleased that the Edmonton RCMP K Division has determined that our Truckfone is the best solution to replace the Motorola M800 in their emergency service vehicles,” states Marc Seelenfreund, CEO of Siyata. “There are tens of thousands of emergency service vehicles like this in Canada that need upgraded devices for their communication needs. Our products are the most advanced all-in-one solution in the market to replace the Motorola M800 devices that do not operate on 3G or 4G networks.”
Siyata is aggressively pursuing the emergency service vehicle market in Canada as there are very few, all-in-one communication devices that emergency response personnel are able to clearly hear and communicate with dispatch operators in the loud environment of critical emergency response (such as sirens).
The Company understands that there are over 500,000 Motorola M800 devices currently installed in commercial vehicles globally that will need to be replaced as 2G networks that they operate on are being shut down over the next few years by cellular operators.
Siyata’s Voyager device is now available through authorized TELUS dealerships across Canada and available through select dealers in several countries around the world where Motorola M800 devices had a significant presence.
Siyata Mobile Inc. is a leading global developer and provider of a vehicle mounted communications platform over advanced mobile networks. Siyata’s customers include cellular operators, commercial vehicle technology distributors and fleets of all sizes in Canada, the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Siyata’s “Connected-Vehicle” devices and accessories are specifically designed for professional fleets such as trucks, vans, buses, ambulances, government cars and more. Siyata aims to provide greater mobile connectivity for professional drivers and facilitate replacement of the current in-vehicle, multi device status quo with a single device that incorporates voice, data and fleet management solutions.
